We got amazing value for our money at this charming old farmhouse in the Karoo. The room was beautifully decorated and the location was fantastic, surrounded by comfortable sitting areas and a lovely swimming pool. The staff treated us like family and made us feel extremely welcome.

The morning meal could have been improved with more variety.

I chose this hotel for attending a brainstorming session because it provides preference for "active babysitting" - meeting the tortoises that meander onto the lodge lawn and exploring the garden.

The one service that I missed for my work was a reliable and fast internet connection.

Wonderful Samara: We arrived with high expectations, and Samara didn't disappoint. The breathtaking setting surrounded by mountains and the peacefulness of the reserve immediately put us at ease. The staff was fantastic, the food was plentiful and delicious, and our suite was perfect. The game drives were an incredible experience, with up-close encounters with cheetahs, rhinos, elephants, and more. we had a wonderful 3-night stay.

Lovely swimming pool and outdoor boma. Great breakfasts in a relaxed atmosphere. Very private and comfortable suite.

samara karoo reserve in graaff reinet was an incredible experience, exceeding our expectations. the game drives were brilliant, the staff attentive, and the food fabulous. it truly felt like a stay with people who care about the great caroo.
